When you see me arrive at your market stall/street stall or at the cashier of your shop, you very often rush to give me a plastic bag, but most of the time I don't want any. Very often, I have a thought for turtles that are the victims of plastic bags, but there are many others animals that are victims of the plastic tide that swept the world, even in the most remote places. My solution: either I don't need a bag, either I've got plastic or paper bags that I reuse, it's not really annoying to bring back some bags when I do some shopping (even when I travel by bike). So, next time, have a thought for the animals, for human beings and for the environment. Many places around the world have banned checkout bags, and people are seemingly no worse off as a result.
